I went to Paris end of 2006 (world championships of Magic), my girlfriend can speak French, and I had Latin, from which French is derived.
So I decided I'll be trying to teach myself French.
Like Latin, the verbs are all convoluted with endings that denote who is doing [the verb].
I now wrote an excel spreadsheet which can do "flashcards"... It was fun to write, and I learn pretty well.
I also downloaded Le petit prince (the Little prince), which is a children's book often used to help beginners in French.
My biggest problem will be pronunciation. The grammar and vocabulary I will be able to pick up through reading and studying. Pronunciation is the final test.

Looking for a new job
So, I know in general terms how it is to fear unemployment.
My contract ends 29 February and I have yet to receive an offer.
This is disconcerting, I have had an interview that went very well. But I have to admit that I was under a slight misconception as to how the contract thing would work out.
I have faith though. God has always provided for me.
